AstroPloton is built around information that can feel unusually intimate: the exact moment and place of a birth, the people whose charts you compare, and the questions you ask in private. This policy explains what we collect, why we need it, and the boundaries we place around its use.
We do not sell birth-chart or relationship data.
Private chart data is not used for targeted advertising.
You may ask to access, export, correct, or delete your data.
Scope and who we are
This Privacy Policy applies to astroploton.com, AstroPloton accounts and web applications, and messages you exchange with us. In this policy, “AstroPloton,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to AstroPloton, operated from India and serving members across India and, over time, globally.
Our contact form opens your own email application, so a message is not sent to AstroPloton until you choose to send it from that application. Our hosting provider may still process ordinary request and security logs when you visit.
Information we collect
The information we collect depends on what you choose to use. We do not require a complete identity profile merely to browse the public site.
- Account and contact information, such as your name, email address, account identifier, preferences, and authentication records.
- Birth-chart information, including birth date, birth time, birthplace, time zone, and any uncertainty you record about those details.
- Profiles you create for another person, such as a partner or family member, and the relationship label you assign to that profile.
- Questions, journal notes, feedback, and conversations you intentionally submit to personalized or AI-assisted features.
- Transaction records such as plan, purchase date, currency, status, and payment-provider reference. We do not intend to store full payment-card numbers.
- Support correspondence and information you send when requesting help, exercising a privacy right, or applying for a refund.
- Technical and usage information such as IP address, browser, device type, language, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, errors, and security events.
Our promise around birth and relationship data
A birth date, time, and place can become intimate when combined into a personal interpretation. We therefore treat chart profiles and relationship comparisons as private reflective data, whether or not a particular law classifies them as sensitive information.
We do not sell birth-chart data, relationship profiles, private notes, or guide conversations. We do not use them to build advertising audiences, infer ad interests, or target third-party advertisements. A birthplace is used to calculate a historical chart; it is not treated as permission to monitor your current physical location.
If you create a chart for another person, you are responsible for having an appropriate reason and any permission required to provide their information. Do not add details you do not have the right to use.
How we use information
We use information only where it supports a defined product, operational, or legal purpose.
- Calculate natal charts, transits, timing windows, and relationship overlays requested by you.
- Personalize explanations and preserve the profiles, settings, and history you choose to save.
- Operate accounts, subscriptions, receipts, customer support, and service communications.
- Detect abuse, prevent fraud, troubleshoot errors, secure the service, and understand aggregate product performance.
- Improve wording, accessibility, and product flows using aggregated or de-identified signals where reasonably possible.
- Send optional newsletters or product announcements when you have asked to receive them, with an unsubscribe control in each marketing email.
- Comply with law, enforce our agreements, and establish or defend legal claims.
Legal bases where they apply
In places that require a legal basis, we generally process data to perform a contract with you when delivering an account, chart, or purchase; with consent for optional marketing and non-essential cookies; for legitimate interests such as security, support, and careful product improvement; and to meet legal obligations such as accounting, tax, and lawful requests.
You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal does not make earlier processing unlawful and may mean that an optional feature can no longer operate.
AI-assisted interpretations
Some planned AstroPloton features may use generative models to help explain chart relationships or answer questions. When you activate such a feature, we may send the minimum chart context and prompt needed to a contracted model provider. We do not need to send full payment information, your password, or unrelated profiles to generate an interpretation.
AI output can be incomplete, incorrect, or unexpectedly phrased. It is a reflective aid, not a source of professional advice or a prediction of certain events. Before these features launch, we will identify the relevant categories of providers, their role, and the controls applied to submitted data.
AstroPloton will not use private chart conversations for targeted advertising. If we ever want to use identifiable conversations to improve a model beyond delivering your requested feature, we will first provide a separate explanation and choice where required.
International processing
AstroPloton is designed for a global audience. Our providers and team may process information in countries other than the one where you live. Those countries may have different privacy rules.
Where required, we will use recognized transfer safeguards, contractual protections, and supplementary security measures. The final hosting regions and transfer mechanism will be documented before account data is collected at scale.
How long we keep information
We keep personal information only for as long as needed for the purpose described in this policy, including providing the service, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and meeting tax, accounting, or legal requirements.
As a starting rule, chart profiles and private notes remain until you delete them or close your account; support records may be kept after resolution to document the request; billing records may be retained for the period required by financial law; and short-lived security logs are removed or de-identified on an operational schedule. Backups may retain deleted information for a limited recovery cycle before automatic overwrite.
Before paid accounts launch, we will align these statements with a documented internal retention schedule and the actual service providers in use.
Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information. Planned controls include encryption in transit, restricted production access, secure authentication, audit and incident procedures, vendor review, and separation of payment credentials from chart content.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. Use a unique password when accounts become available, keep access links private, and contact [email protected] if you believe an account or message has been compromised.
Your rights and controls
Depending on your location, you may have the right to know or access the information we hold, correct inaccurate information, obtain a portable copy, delete information, restrict or object to certain processing, withdraw consent, opt out of certain sharing, and appeal a denied request. You may also complain to the privacy or data-protection authority where you live.
To make a request, email [email protected] from the address associated with your account and describe the right you want to exercise. We may need to verify your identity without requesting more information than reasonably necessary. Authorized agents may submit requests where applicable, subject to verification of their authority.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right. Some information may be retained where an exception applies, such as fraud prevention, transaction records, or the establishment of legal claims.
Regional notices
Residents of the EEA, United Kingdom, and Switzerland may have rights under local data-protection law and may contact their supervisory authority. Residents of California and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws may have rights to know, correct, delete, and obtain data, and to opt out of sale, certain sharing, or profiling where those activities occur. AstroPloton does not sell chart data and does not use it for targeted advertising.
Users in India may direct questions or grievances about personal-data handling to [email protected] under applicable Indian law, including the Information Technology Act, 2000 and its associated rules. Pending formal appointment of a dedicated Grievance Officer, this is the designated single point of contact for such requests.
Age limits
AstroPloton accounts and paid features are intended for adults aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly create accounts for children or collect personal information from a child in a way prohibited by law. If you believe a minor has provided information without appropriate authorization, email [email protected] so we can investigate and delete it where required.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the platform, providers, or law changes. The effective date at the top will change, and material updates will be highlighted on the service or sent to account holders when required. We will not silently turn private chart data into advertising data through a policy update.
Questions, privacy requests, or complaints can be sent to [email protected]. Security concerns can be sent to [email protected].
